TTRSA believes in ensuring that all new infrastructure is accessible to everyone. In some countries this approach is called 'main-streaming' and in others 'universal design', in that provision for those with disabilities and impairments relating to mobility is not simply included as an after thought. The approach also takes full account of a persons varying levels of mobility depending on their situation, for example, a person without any impairment will be restricted if they are: carrying a load such as shopping, pushing a child in a pushchair; or, pushing a wheelchair.

TTRSA recognises the importance of enhancing the existing built environment and infrastructure to meet modern standards. We provide access audits of the external built environment, from specific locations such as transportation facilities, to large areas including whole towns. We provide clear concise reporting and practical prioritised solutions within improvements plans, to allow clients to move towards compliance with the Disability Act in a controlled way, including undertaking improvements within planned maintenance regimes.
