TTRSA have worked alongside a number of event organisers to create bespoke solutions to managing the traffic associated within their events.  Each commission has to take account of a range of event related components, including: type (e.g. annual agricultural show); location; duration; established or intended catchment; potential access routes; on-site, off-site and overflow parking provision; and; access and parking for large vehicles.  For urban events, factors can also include: pedestrian access from the public transport network; and, managing the outflow of vehicles from car parks to avoid gridlock on the surrounding road network.  The principal services that we offer related to event traffic management include:

  • Working alongside event organisers to develop traffic management strategies for events;
  • Liaising between event organisers and other parties including local highway authorities; and,
  • Auditing Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Plans for event related signing and TTM.
